Something's broken, needs updating, or you want a new section built before the weekend rush hits. Send it our way. We've been keeping Shopify stores running since 2011, from quick CSS fixes to untangling nasty app conflicts after a Shopify API version update. Our portfolio shows some of the bigger builds, but a lot of our 98% client retention comes from exactly this kind of day-to-day work.
Some stores need us once a quarter. Others need someone available every week, especially when Shopify rolls out a new API version or a key app update breaks something. Either way, all work happens on a duplicate theme. Your live store isn't touched until you've approved the fix.
A visual bug that only shows on Safari mobile. A checkout that broke after a Shopify API deprecation. An app conflict nobody noticed until it killed the cart. We've fixed all of it, across 500+ stores over 13 years. Our <a href="/portfolio" style="color:rgba(255,255,255,0.8); border-bottom:1px solid rgba(255,255,255,0.3);">portfolio</a> shows some of the bigger builds, but day-to-day support is where a lot of these relationships started. It's also why 98% of clients stay with us.
Every request gets triaged when it comes in. We tell you the expected completion time before work starts, not after. No chasing, no wondering if your task got lost.
Bug fixes are the obvious part. Long-term store health is about staying ahead of Shopify's quarterly releases, managing API version deprecations before they bite, catching performance that's crept downward from accumulated app scripts, and recognising when a recurring issue points to something deeper in the theme. Retainer clients get proactive input on all of that, not just reactive fixes. If you're on Shopify Plus, that layer of ongoing attention matters even more.
We work on stores we didn't build. You don't need to have been an Axis Web Art client before. We review your theme codebase, understand how it's structured, and support it the same way we'd support one we built ourselves. See some of the work we have built in our portfolio.
Not every developer who can fix a generic web problem can fix a Shopify-specific one. Liquid, Shopify's API, OS 2.0 architecture, checkout limitations, app conflict patterns: these need platform depth that generalists don't have. We've been working exclusively in Shopify since 2011. We're a New York-based agency with 30+ in-house specialists and we've never outsourced.
From the moment you submit a support request to the moment the fix is live on your store: a clear, predictable process with no ambiguity about what's happening or when.
Our support service starts from $20 for small, targeted bug fixes and individual tasks. Larger tasks, adding a new theme section, resolving a complex app conflict, or significant layout changes, are scoped and quoted based on estimated hours.
Monthly retainer plans start from $200 per month and provide a set number of development hours with priority response times and proactive monitoring. All tasks are quoted before work begins. There aren’t any open-ended invoices or surprises.
We fix all types of Shopify store issues: layout and visual bugs in Liquid, HTML, and CSS; JavaScript errors affecting the cart, checkout, or theme functionality; app conflicts causing broken UI or checkout issues; broken sections or blocks in the theme editor; mobile responsiveness issues; slow-loading pages caused by theme code; broken redirects; product or collection display problems; checkout configuration bugs; and anything else affecting how your store looks or works.
We also handle non-bug tasks: adding new sections, updating page layouts, bulk product uploads, content changes, redirect setup, and app installation and configuration. If it’s Shopify-related, we can handle it. Need deeper work? Check our theme development or Shopify SEO services.
For emergency issues like a broken checkout, payment failure, or store-wide display error, we respond and work toward same-day resolution regardless of plan. Email dan@axiswebart.us directly with “URGENT” in the subject line.
For retainer clients, priority acknowledgement is within 1 to 4 hours, and most tasks are resolved the same business day. It’s one of the main reasons clients stay, and it’s why we’ve got a 98% retention rate.
For pay-as-you-go requests, standard turnaround is 1 to 3 business days depending on complexity. All requests get triaged on receipt and you’ll hear back with an expected completion time before we start.
A monthly retainer gives you a set number of development hours per month that you can use for any combination of tasks: bug fixes, theme updates, new feature additions, content updates, app configuration, performance work, or SEO maintenance.
Retainer clients get priority response times with urgent issues addressed within hours, a monthly summary of all work completed and hours used, and proactive recommendations based on what we spot in your store. Plans are flexible and the scope can be adjusted month to month.
No. For any work involving theme code changes, we always work on a duplicate theme. Your live store isn’t touched during development. The fix gets tested on the duplicate, shared with you for review, and only applied to the live theme once you’ve approved it.
For minor content updates, editing a product description or updating page text, those are made directly in your Shopify admin with no risk to the live storefront code. We follow the same safe practice regardless of task size.
Yes. We regularly support stores built by other agencies or developers, and stores built on premium themes we didn’t originally touch. Before we start, we review your theme codebase and installed apps to understand how it’s all structured. That lets us work efficiently and spot any pre-existing issues that might be connected to what you’re experiencing.
There’s no requirement to have worked with us before, and there’s no charge for the initial review of your store.
Yes. App conflicts, where two or more installed apps cause visual or functional issues, are one of the most common support problems we deal with. We diagnose the source by reviewing the scripts each app injects into your theme, figure out whether it’s fixable through configuration or needs code-level work, and implement the fix.
If the only real option is removing a poorly built app, we’ll tell you clearly and recommend a better alternative where possible. If you need a fully custom app built to replace a problematic off-the-shelf one, we handle that too.
Yes. For business-critical issues, a broken checkout, payment gateway failure, store-wide display error, or anything actively stopping customers from completing purchases, we offer emergency support with same-day response and resolution as the priority.
Email dan@axiswebart.us directly with “URGENT” in the subject and a description of what’s broken. We’ll respond right away and start diagnosis without waiting for the normal request process.
Yes. Theme design updates are among our most common support tasks: adjusting layouts, changing fonts, colours, spacing, and typography, adding new content sections, modifying page layouts, updating navigation, and making UI improvements. These get handled as regular support tasks, scoped and quoted based on complexity.
For larger design changes, like a full page redesign or a complete theme overhaul, those are better scoped as dedicated development projects. Our Shopify theme development service is the right fit for that kind of work.

Submit a task and we'll get back to you with a clear quote and timeline before any work starts. For urgent issues, email dan@axiswebart.us directly right now. We've been doing this since 2011 and we're not going anywhere.
